Parkville Resident Scores $50,000 in Powerball
PARKVILLE, MD — A fortunate individual in Parkville has claimed a $50,000 prize after their Powerball ticket matched a sufficient number of digits in the January 8 draw, as revealed by Maryland Lottery representatives on Thursday. The ticket was purchased at J Convenience on 8765 Satyr Hill Road. The winning numbers included 1, 20, 36, 38, and 43, with the Powerball number 24 and a Power Play of 2x.
This achievement marks Maryland’s first $50,000 Powerball win for the year 2025, following a $100,000 win on the year’s first day. In the same drawing, 10,261 Marylanders collected Powerball prizes ranging from $4 to $100. With no jackpot winner, the next drawing on January 11 offers a massive prize of $263 million as an annuity or $117.7 million in cash.
The Lottery advises all ticket holders to sign their tickets promptly, store them safely, and ensure they claim their winnings within 182 days from the draw date.
